Two things: audio Bible + verse for the year

Two things:

1. I’m learning that I get so much more out of my Bible time when I’m listening to it on audio books vs reading it myself. I’ll pop some headphones in and listen before bed (sometimes I’ll fall asleep listening too) or I’ll listen while I’m up nursing Oceana to sleep and I’m AMAZED at how much I’m learning! I get so excited and start telling Tony or the kids all the things I just heard. It’s been so fun!

2. My verse that I want to focus on this year is

Luke 2:52

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

In wisdom: seeking God’s wisdom by reading/listening to the Bible and praying daily for His guidance, discernment, anointing for my life before looking to anything or anyone for advice.

In stature: I was reading about how Jesus grew physically and prepared Himself for what He needed to do. His ministry was very physical and He needed a body that would be able to handle it well. My ministries surround my husband, my children, my home and my business and I want to be physically prepared for it all. My body is a temple of the Lord’s (1 Cor. 6:19-20) and so I need to treat it with that in mind by how I eat, drink, think and exercise.

In favor with God and man:  by learning how to live out this verse well…

“Jesus replied: ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39
