Seek the Lord
I read this recently:
WE DROWN IN ENTERTAINMENT TO AVOID THE SILENCE WHERE GOD SPEAKS, THEN COMPLAIN THAT HE IS SILENT.
So this week has been a lot of leaning into the silence, seeking wholeheartedly to hear God speak. And what the Lord has been doing in my soul is not at all what I was expecting. It’s funny because the things we think are important, valuable and urgent in our minds for needing answers for, God sees the things that are actually of value and what actually holds urgency for us to look at. We look at the outward, visible things while God is looking right at our hearts, wanting to uproot and till the soil of our souls that bring true healing, freedom and presence with the Almighty.
My heart is heavy and burning at the same time. I have no answers still for the questions I was seeking Him for and yet I’m still left changed on the inside, realizing that what I actually needed isn’t what I thought at all.
His ways are always better.
Seek the Lord.
Fast.
Pray.
Get serious about the Bible.
Read it.
Listen to it.
Not just recaps and people telling you what it says but read it and know it yourself.
Read it like your life depends on it.
Because it does.
