MERRY CHRISTMAS + family things & links for you!
Hi friends! Merry Christmas!
I hope you all are enjoying this season and fully soaking up all the beauty and sweetness it brings. It seems like every year the Christmas season goes much too fast in our home. Tony and I are so aware that this moment in time with all 6 of our children living under our roof won’t last forever and I think every night we go to bed with a mix between overwhelming gratitude for what we have and a tinge of anxiety knowing it won’t be like this much longer. It’s beautiful and wonderful raising children. We are so thankful. Every stage of raising children seems to get sweeter so I know that, even when things change, God will increase the blessings somehow, because that’s what He’s always done.
A prayer of mine daily is for the Lord to extend our days so that Tony and I can be present and fully invested in the lives of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I think a lot about future generations. I even have a Pinterest board with ideas for my future “grandbabies room”. I can already picture it. It’s a large room with lots of beds with cozy quilts and ready for all the sleepovers and snuggles. My kids are all fully aware that when they have babies that I’m their second home. 🥰 I can’t wait. But I’m also still raising my own babies so I’m not in a rush either. But truly, my heart and my aim in life is to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind and strength and then to teach every generation that the Lord allows me to be part of about Jesus. It’s the most valuable thing I can do with my life.
Lately on For The Mother podcast I’ve been sharing a lot about the importance of reading the Bible for yourself and to your children…
Here’s the latest episodes on Spotify : (all can be found on Spotify, Apple and YouTube)
My beautiful daughter did a reading of the Christmas story on her podcast if you want to listen here (follow along with her too to be filled up and encouraged in the Lord!).
We’re also about to start another round of the 30 Day Wellness Challenge! We just wrapped up the last one with over 30 women! I would love for you to join us for the January challenge! This is a gentle approach to wellness specifically created by a mom of 6 (hi, that’s me!) who understands hard seasons, low capacity seasons and a deep desire to have Jesus at the center of everything. This challenge is meant to bless you and overflow into blessing your family as you intentionally prioritize your spiritual, mental and physical health in a way that is simple enough to do even in a busy season with little ones needing you.
Just fill this out and I’ll get you plugged in!

Last quick thing, if you haven’t seen the new David movie with your kids, we just saw it last night in the theater and we LOVED it! Our littlest two have been watching the sneak peeks and memorizing all the songs for the last two months on YouTube and we’ve been counting down the days to finally see it! Tony even made Lion a slingshot that he has been practicing with each day. I ordered tickets early as well as a David hat (Lion wears hats daily so it was PERFECT for him) and the Tali stuffed animal for Ocean to surprise them with before the movie. It was the sweetest. And to be there all together was so much fun!
May the Lord bless you and your family as you remember and celebrate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and all that He has done and continues to do.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6
We are overwhelmed by the absolute kindness and goodness of Jesus in our lives. He is the greatest gift of all time and yet He still pours out abundantly even more gifts just because He delights to.
I hope you know how deeply loved you are by God. The whole reason we celebrate this season is because of Jesus… true love in the flesh. God came down in the most humble of ways to live and die for us. He took our sins upon Himself, died in our place, and then conquered sin and death once and for all when He rose from the grave 3 days later. Can you even imagine the reality of that moment? There is no one like the LORD!
What incredible grace poured out.
My life advice for anyone reading this… Start every morning with the Bible. End every evening with the Bible. It will change your life.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
❤️ Abbi and family
