Small town Christmas parade in black and white

Little Lion has been wanting to go to a Christmas parade ever since he watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on tv. His greatest wish going to it was to get candy thrown at him. He ended up pretty bummed and shed a few tears because no one was tossing any candy. We decided to leave early (after about 45 minutes of watching) and on the walk out, one little girl threw a single mini candy cane to him! Dreams do come true after all! He was so happy!

Ocean danced to the music, got scared of the grinch and wind and fake snow but otherwise had a blast. And the big kids all enjoyed watching it through the eyes of delight of the littlest ones.

The parade was old fashioned, very nostalgic and the perfect Hallmark holiday hometown feel. It was a sweet day to make memories with our favorite people.

Tony and I know how deeply blessed we are. It’s not lost on us. God has been so kind to our family and everyday Tony and I are holding our breathe, knowing that it won’t always be like this. All six of our children still nestled in tight under our roof. We are so grateful.

Here’s a bunch of sweet little moments captured on black and white photography. Black and white photos are my very favorites because they turn regular moments into beautiful keepsakes that highlight faces in a way colored photos can’t. I treasure photos of my family because it freezes time and helps us remember things that we might have forgotten otherwise. 🖤
