Rest awhile… for the weary mama
Mamas, when you are weary, Jesus sees you exactly where you are. The hours you serve your family and the sleepless nights caring for children and the heaviness in your heart every time you look around at this world you are raising your children in… He knows it all. He sees you. He loves you dearly. He would have you cast it all at His feet so that He can carry it for you (1 Peter 5:7) and for you to rest a little while.
“And he said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.” Mark 6:31
“…they had no leisure even to eat“
Doesn’t that sound like busy motherhood seasons? And Jesus seeing that and knowing that He created us with physical needs like sleep, food, shelter, water, He tells them in their weariness to rest a little while.
God is with you in your mothering.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
